The MFA Specialization in Applied Arts offers intensive professional training in scenic art, visual communications and art direction.
The Specialization is designed to serve students who have completed some training in the fine arts and/or theater, and require advanced skills and aesthetic exposure to achieve viable, dynamic careers.
All areas of advanced industry practice are covered—from traditional drawing techniques to digital rendering and CAD. The Specialization is uniquely designed for students interested in pursuing careers in theater, film, television, themed entertainment, immersive design, and other creative industry specializations where they’ll work as highly creative thinkers, storytellers, scenic artists, and art directors.
