Jenica Anderson is the production head of sound and video in the School of Theater. She graduated with an MFA in Percussion Performance from CalArts, where she found and developed her interest in audio engineering. Jenica worked as the primary sound engineer at REDCAT for many years, and has freelanced across many artistic disciplines in sound and video.
Prior to rejoining the CalArts community, Jenica served as the production manager for Brentwood School (6-8) in Los Angeles, producing all technical and scenic elements for 10 theater, dance, and music shows per year. In addition to her technical expertise, she also has immense experience as an educator working with students of all ages teaching music, live and recorded sound, and video. In her time outside of work, Jenica spends time woodworking and fixing things. She continues her work as a freelance sound engineer and musician.
