CalArts Center for New Performance is excited to partner with Unlock Creative to host a Creative Flowers Professional Circle for current students across the Institute. This workshop is open to all current CalArts students with an emphasis on Black creatives.
Creative Flowers, an initiative of Unlock Creative, seeks to address the specific needs and challenges of Black creatives, nurturing environments that are supportive and prioritize Black leadership. Unlock Creative focuses on the creative sector, including the nonprofit, fine arts, and entertainment industry and is inclusive of, but not limited to: visual arts, theater performance and design, dance, film, graphic design, animation, producing, composing, songwriting, sound engineering, museum management, opera, and technical direction. Unlock Creative believes in building a mutual aid network in support of Black creatives who support the community independently and collectively across industries.
